Transforming the Future of Grid Modernization with Locusview

Join us at DTECH 2026 to discover how Locusview’s Digital Construction Management (DCM) platform is revolutionizing the electric utility industry. As capital investment accelerates to meet the growing demand for electricity, the need for high-quality, real-time data is more critical than ever. Utilities must ensure they have accurate, reliable data to feed into systems such as ADMS, DERMS, and OMS to enable those systems to perform optimally.

At our Booth #1539 to explore how we are helping utilities create a seamless, end-to-end digital thread that replaces inefficient paper processes, speeds up close-out, and integrates accurate field-collected data into your systems of record - and ultimately ADMS - to power effective grid management.

Why Attend DTECH 2026 with Locusview?

  • Discover Cutting-Edge Digital Tools: Learn how Locusview's solutions streamline construction processes, improve project delivery times, and ensure financial and operational success.
  • Peer-Led Discussions: Engage with utility and EPC leaders in targeted discussions that address the key challenges and opportunities in grid modernization.
  • Hands-On Demonstrations: Visit Booth #1539 for live demonstrations of our Digital Construction Management tools and learn how we can help you overcome the unique challenges of managing the grid in the era of electrification.
  • Learn more about how Locusview's acquisition by Itron is creating an even brighter future for Digital Construction Management.

Agenda

Peer-to-peer Session:

The Digital Construction Management Imperative: Right Data, Right place, Right Time to Scale Grid Modernization Construction

Date: Tuesday, February 3, 2026
Time:
11:00 AM - Noon
Location:
25B
Moderators:
Neil Jessel and Danny Petrecca
Register

Utility construction is on the front lines of an energy revolution, driven by infrastructure needs for AI Data Centers, DER integration, System Hardening to support wildfire mitigation programs, and massive EV growth..

This guided peer-to-peer session is a candid discussion among utility and EPC leaders on challenges with the ‘business as usual approach’ and how to move beyond fragmented systems and processes for Planning, Constructing and Maintaining the grid.

Participants will be asked to share successful strategies and lessons learned for addressing critical challenges like field-initiated changes, connecting the evolving ecosystem of tools (from planners to analysts), and using a unified Digital Construction Management approach to ensure projects scale efficiently to meet Grid Modernization goals while maintaining a clean digital twin of the grid.

Presentation:

Integrated Digital Construction Workflows Transform Field Operations at Montana Dakota Utility

As part of the Joint Utility Maximo Project (JUMP), Montana Dakota Utility (MDU) successfully modernized its gas and electric operations by replacing inefficient paper-based processes with Locusview’s Digital Construction Management platform. By deploying high-accuracy RTK stations and mobile hardware to 300 crews, MDU eliminated manual data entry bottlenecks and transitioned its GIS team from data processors to high-level validators. This digital transformation resulted in a 70-80% reduction in review time and enabled real-time GIS updates within 24 hours of field approval, significantly streamlining MDU’s technology stack and enhancing operational decision-making.
